2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007
2002 October Salt City: Jekyll and Hyde - The group took its first official steps out into the outside theatre world to see this cult favorite musical, after a short lesson in its background and history
2003 January Radio Theatre Night - With the help of professional audiobook veteran Mark Holt and classic radio theatre expert Greg Holtham, we prepared and recorded a complete radio play, "My Client Curley", later released on CD
March Street Theatre Night - Veteran magician Bob Gibbons shared his experiences in street theatre, and much squeaking and popping heralded balloon animal attempts led by Clown College alumnus Greg Hipius
July SUMMER SHOW - Scene One wrote, prepared, and performed its first annual summer production, a musical entitled "Baggage Check"
July Sterling Renaissance Festival - we visited this central New York favorite, one of the largest of its kind in the northeast and a great example of live interactive theatre
December ACME: My Dead Lady - we took in the holiday mystery theatre production at the Spaghetti Warehouse
2004 January Appleseed Productions: Lies and Legends - we gathered in our home theatre to see a performance of this unique theatrical staging of the songs of Harry Chapin
March Street Theatre Night 2 - Master juggler Aaron Friedman shared some of his tricks and taught us the basics, and "The Bubbleman" Doug Rougeax demonstrated his techniques; plus more silly balloon animals
March ACME: Dead Pull Hitter - we gathered for another mystery theater production at the Spaghetti Warehouse.  Our own Patty O'Rourke's "interesting" guess at the killer won "The Point!"
July SUMMER SHOW - Scene One built on its first success with another completely original script, this time the fantasy time travel comedy "Revising Simon"
July Sterling Renaissance Festival - we took our second visit in what seems it might become an annual tradition to this outdoor improvisational immersive / interactive theatre venue
2005 January Famous Artists: The Producers
March ACME: Homestyle Homicide - again by popular demand, we visited the mystery theatre at Spaghetti Warehouse, this time with our own Alex Nollie as second runner up for "The Point" with his interesting theory!
June
Radio Theatre Night - Again with guest audio acting veteran Mark Holt, we prepared and recorded an old time radio double feature of "Buck Rogers and the Electro Hypno Mentalophone" and "The Lone Ranger: Trouble at the Rafter H", with eventual full cd release

July Sterling Renaissance Festival - we took our third visit to this outdoor improvisational immersive / interactive theatre venue.  To learn more about the festival, visit their site at http://sterlingfestival.com/renfest/.
July
SUMMER SHOW - Our largest cast and crew ever reunited our college folks back from break with our new graduates and high school upperclassmen to write and produce the original script "The Gods Must Be Stupid," an amusing look at what the mythical Greek gods might be like a few millennia after retirement.

2006 February - April High School "Tour" - It happened almost by accident, and with a lot of last minute planning, but many of us managed to meet up for a few local high school productions, including one with an unexpected last minute backstage "tour"...
April
ACME: No Time For Death - once more, we visited the mystery theatre at Spaghetti Warehouse, and continued our "winning" ways with our own Kim Farnett taking home the award for "The Point."

June "Reunion" and Planning Meeting - well, it was intended as a quick meeting to start brainstorming ideas for the upcoming summer, but it quickly ballooned to over twice its size with a lot of random tangents...
July Sterling Renaissance Festival - Another annual visit, fun as always.    To learn more about the festival, visit their site at http://sterlingfestival.com/renfest/.
July
SUMMER SHOW  - Our fourth annual summer production "broke in" the new central air conditioning in the theatre with the suspenseful comedy-mystery "Ten Little Alumni".  Loosely based on Agatha Christie's famous mysteries, the show follows the ill-fated twenty year reunion at Virgin High School, as the guests struggle to make it through the evening!

August
Syracuse Shakespeare Festival - We met up to go see the Syracuse Shakespeare Festival's production of "Taming of the Shrew," which featured several familiar faces, including Scene One "alumnus" Ted Limpert

2007 March / April Second High School "Tour" - Not quite so much of an accident this year, we hit a few different local school productions to lend our support.
April
ACME: Deadly Inheritance - our annual trip to an interactive murder mystery at the Spaghetti Warehouse also featured a continuance of our "winning" streak, with our own Perry Crain winning the "The Point".

June / July Definitely the largest group yet contributed to the long but fun process of conceiving, writing, and polishing this year's original play for the summer show.  And, of course, the usual "45 minute tangent" seemed to remain in effect... I guess that's what happens when you get that many goofy theatre folks together to be creative.
July
SUMMER SHOW - Our fifth annual summer production, "Time Titans", mocks the trend of reality programming with this satirical comedy cautionary tale.  In a future where reality programming has taken over the entertainment industry, we tune in to watch the most recent awful reality show, "Time Titans Smackdown", in which famous and infamous figures are pulled from their own eras and forced to compete in inane challenges.  Click on this text to see more photos from the show!
August Sterling Renaissance Festival (planned) - we expect to take our fifth annual visit to this outdoor improvisational immersive / interactive theatre experience on Saturday, August 11th.  Reservations are needed, so contact us right away to reserve your ticket!

Scene One is supported as a joint venture with Appleseed Productions.
